Still Living with Covid Long-Haulers (Parosmia)

This week, you guys, this week makes it 2 years since Jeramy and I have smelled the simple things. Ground Coffee, Campfire, or freshly mowed lawns. Tasted things you all take for granted, a simple can of pop, chocolate, chips and fresh fruit.

Just wanted to post another update. No, neither of us have had our taste or smell restored. We are still experiencing distorted taste and smell. It's very exhausting and discouraging. The 2nd worst part of it all, unless you experience it yourself, no one understands. So many people respond with, I would be so skinny. No, you still have to eat, you have a never ending hunger, because what you eat, never satisfies, because it's just not right. We are learning a new healthier diet two years in, but I'm not going to lie, cookies and salty, taste the most normal. We actually classify our food as terrible and not terrible. Not terrible is still not good, but we can stomach it. But again the hunger is always there, longing for something, anything, to taste normal for us.

So if you are reading this, before you close out, if you would say a little healing prayer for Jeramy and I, we would appreciate it!

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. God Bless you all and keep you safe!
